Welcome!

I am Carlye Campbell, Registered Massage Therapist of 8+ years.  I was born and raised in the City of Toronto, as were my parents and the majority of my grandparents.  I moved up here in September of 2018 as the city was becoming so far removed from what it was when I was younger, I could no longer be there. For years, I had talked about moving from the city.  I was looking for a place that was quiet, yet full of life, had conveniences close by, but still townlike in privacy.  I was looking for a place with history, and a story to tell, one that would be surrounded by nature, and kind people.  After I can't even tell you how many years of searching, I had finally found what my heart had been searching for, and I couldn't be happier to call Haileybury, and Temiskaming Shores home!

A little about my career.  I was introduced to the world of physical rehabilitation when I was 11 years old.  I had a silly ski injury that did quite a number on my Left Knee.  After visiting with my family doctor, Doc Jim.  The BEST doctor there was, he has sadly retired.  I learned a lot from him.  He had the most impeccable table side manner. He was thorough with his notes, and always wanted the most natural option first. Anyhow I digress, he sent me to a Sports Therapy Clinic knowing how active and into sports I was.  I went through Physiotherapy for a number of months, and after my first visit, I was hooked.  I thought this was the coolest job out there.  They get to stretch people, they get to show people exercises, they get to use these cool machines that do these really neat things.  They get to fix people!  So that was my beginning. Since then, I have been able to work along side and learn from some of the most inspiring people, and hope to inspire others also.  I have been blessed to have maintained a healthy roster of clients, a plethora of students, and wonderful experiences.  I treat a little differently than some massage therapists.  I took the knowledge of sports, injuries, schooling, physiotherapists physical approach and made it my own.  I will always begin with a thorough health history and assessment to determine the suspected cause of your pain, discomfort or dysfunction.  From there we break that down anatomically, and I get to work.  You will remain fully clothed during treatments.  All that is required of you is comfy clothes, and then helping me help you, by staying relaxed, comfortable and at ease.

I think that is more than enough sharing for now.

Always here to help
